Ivonne S. Santos – Justice, Town of Haverstraw

Judge Ivonne S. Santos attended Iona College in New Rochelle, New York where she earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice, cum laude. She received her J.D. from Pace University School of Law in White Plains, New York. At Pace University, she was the recipient of the Pace Alumni Association Outstanding Student Award. After graduating law school, Judge Santos started her own general practice law firm with emphasis on residential and commercial real estate transactions, bank closings, will preparation, guardian ad litem appointments and estate work.

In 2008, Judge Santos was appointed as Special Prosecutor, handling Vehicle & Traffic offenses, for the Town of Haverstraw. Two years later, Judge Santos was appointed as Special Prosecutor for the Village of West Haverstraw. She held both positions until January 2017 when she was appointed as Town Justice for the Town of Haverstraw.

Judge Santos is a recipient of the Town of Haverstraw Distinguished Service Award and a recipient of the Girl Scout Appreciation Pin for her volunteer efforts at various community events throughout the year including Girl Scout functions, toy and food drives, meal serving, back to school supply collection and distribution.
